El Último Intento
El ultimo intento is a work on a vector drawing digitally printed on paper, with a final format approximately 31.5 x 39.3 inches. In this piece, I set out to explore new ways of making art that respond to our current context, especially considering the digital realm as a central axis in contemporary artistic language.
The work begins with a fictional intervention of a landscape, constructed entirely through vector graphics. I’m drawn to this type of image because of its precision and control, but also because of its potential for transformation when transferred to unexpected materials. In this case, I chose to bring the drawing onto a post-it note a simple, everyday object, accessible to almost everyone, and not typically associated with the realm of fine art.
By eventually printing the image on paper, I aim to elevate this humble material and challenge the way we perceive both medium and message. This gesture allows me to rethink not only the role of the digital image but also the value we assign to the tools and materials we use to create. It becomes a reflection on the nature of images today on the intersection between digital and physical, fiction and presence and a search for new ways to create using elements that are often overlooked precisely because of their familiarity.
